Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based approach to psychotherapy that supports the brain in reprocessing distressing memories and emotional responses in a structured and contained way. During ART, the therapist gently guides the client through a process that allows distressing images and sensations to be reworked and integrated, using imagery chosen and directed by the client.

Rather than repeatedly revisiting painful experiences, ART focuses on how memories are stored in the brain and supports meaningful shifts in how those memories are experienced in the present. Many clients notice changes in emotional reactivity, intrusive thoughts, or physical stress responses after a small number of sessions, though each person’s experience is unique.

ART is designed to be efficient while still honoring safety, choice, and individual pacing.
